My Etsy Store

Over the past 6 months, I got into binging soapmaking videos. My favorite channel is Royalty Soaps and my second is Gypsyfae Creations. After watching a while, I decided that this was something I wanted to try, and now I’m hooked! So much so, that I’ve even decided to give it a go and start an Etsy Shop!

Shameless plug, you can find the link here! (My first Soap release is Nov. 17!)

Soapmaking is a lot like baking, with a lot less calories. You mix lye water and oils, heat to certain temps and then pour into the mold. You can even frost them with a piping tip! It’s calming, cathartic, and I am just really enjoying every batch and learning as we go. I’m also keeping the shop open to the idea of other crafty things. I did in the past have a jewelry shop, but that did not do well (#exhusbandsabatoge).

My goal is to continue to make beautiful soaps and learn more skills and techniques, but also to be able to pay down some of my student loan debt, and my additional loans with my ex-husband so I can finally be completely free from him.  I’m really looking forward to my first show on Nov. 24.  I’ll keep you all posted on how it goes.
